On Sunday 2nd December 2018, I opened up my home to the public and showed a series of works amongst the chaos and debris of family life. Home-Maker took the viewer on a journey of the home, through performance, installation and intervention: works which sought to situate the artist in relation to mother, wife and homemaker.

Appropriating the contextual language of the traditional white cube, visitors were called on to buy into the conceit of the home as gallery space. Gallery invigilators ushered viewers with hushed voices, and once inside, visitors were met with all the expected props: floor plans, exhibition text, interpretive labels. There was even a gallery shop.

The work was also shown at Gallery Shush, Serbia, 2018, as part of the Unperceived Existence exhibition series.
